He is seasoned Master Mariner with 49 months of command experience on Product Tankers and VLCCs, he has developed strong capability in safe navigation, crew management, tanker operations, and commercial performance.
Ashore, he has served in key management positions, including Head of Crewing, Operations & Quality for a London-based ship management company, and later Head of Quality, DPA & CSO for a Mumbai-based shipping organization—overseeing fleets comprising Aframax, Suezmax, LPG, Product Tankers and Bulk Carriers.
His expertise includes ISM/ISPS/MLC compliance, SIRE vetting readiness, PSC preparation, internal audits, SMS development, crew competency management, safety culture enhancement, and TMSA implementation. He also brings experience in flag documentation, fleet training, and dry-docking support.
A strong advocate of professional development, he has contributed to maritime education as a faculty member at a Mumbai maritime institute.

With global exposure across India, UAE, and Japan, he has managed port operations, heavy-lift movements, project cargo logistics, customs coordination, and marine compliance for leading shipping organizations.
He previously served as Head of Fleet Personnel at Tangar where he led crewing strategies, manpower planning, compliance processes, and training initiatives, significantly enhancing fleet performance and operational readiness.
Currently serving as Vice President – Business Development, he focuses on client relations, new market growth, strategic partnerships, and commercial development while supporting the company’s long-term expansion goals.
Capt. Surendra Kumar

He is a highly experienced marine professional with over 30 years of combined sailing and shore-based ship management expertise in marine operations, fleet management, business development, and regulatory compliance across VLCCs, Aframax, Product and Chemical Tankers, LNG Carriers, and Dry Bulk Vessels. With more than a decade in senior shore-based roles, he has worked with leading maritime organizations. He has contributed significantly to operational efficiency, fleet safety, and alignment with international maritime standards.
His key competencies include ISM implementation, ISPS/ISO compliance, SIRE vetting readiness, tanker operations, incident investigation, dry docking supervision, pre-vetting inspections, risk assessments, and vessel takeovers.
In his current role as Head of QHSSE and Designated Person Ashore (DPA), he oversees marine safety, emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, and fleet readiness while supporting fleet expansion and continuous operational improvement.

His expertise covers engineering operations, dry-docking, new building supervision, vessel compliance, budget management, and performance optimization. Known for his analytical approach and strong operational leadership, he has successfully led technical projects focused on fuel efficiency, machinery performance, and regulatory compliance with evolving industry requirements.
In his current role as Fleet Manager, he oversees the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of vessels while driving technical excellence, sustainability initiatives, and high operational standards across the fleet.
Capt. Alok Chandra Jha

Ashore, he has served as Marine Superintendent, contributing to fleet compliance, crew competence development, vetting readiness, dry-docking supervision, and SMS enhancements, including the implementation of SIRE 2.0 standards. His expertise also covers internal audits, navigation and cargo assessments, flag transitions, and vessel takeover operations.
As a certified maritime instructor and visiting faculty, he has mentored and trained future seafarers. In his current role as Head of Fleet Personnel, he is responsible for selecting, developing, and retaining talented and experienced seafarers to support the company’s expanding fleet. Known for his leadership, operational discipline, and safety-first mindset, he brings strategic insight and practical expertise to every assignment.
